
The Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps is on the hunt for a passionate and skilled Traveling Athletic Trainer to join their ranks for their 2025 tour season. The Traveling Athletic Trainer will play a pivotal role from May 23 to August 10, 2025, ensuring the physical well-being of performers as they rehearse, travel, and compete across the country.
About the Position
Based in Wyoming and Colorado during early preparation (May 23 – June 27, 2025), the trainer will travel nationwide for the remainder of the tour. This position focuses on injury prevention, immediate care, and physical conditioning, supported by the Troopers' Medical Director.
Key Responsibilities include:
Conducting daily injury assessments and implementing treatment plans.
Developing injury prevention strategies such as taping, bracing, and warm-up routines.
Responding to medical emergencies during rehearsals and performances.
Maintaining detailed medical records and collaborating with medical staff.
Managing medical supplies and logistics during the tour.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in athletic training or a related field and be a certified and licensed Athletic Trainer. Previous experience in athletic training, especially in sports or performance settings, is preferred. Knowledge of the physical demands unique to drum and bugle corps is an advantage.
