Mick and Susie McMurry, left an enduring legacy of philanthropy and dedication in Wyoming. Mick, a University of Wyoming graduate and energy industry influencer, played a pivotal role in developing the Jonah field. In the early 2000s, the McMurry Foundation, established with Susie, generously supported organizations statewide, including the Troopers. Susie, a devoted educator, leaves a legacy of kindness and love.

 

The Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps honors the McMurrys by establishing the Mick & Susie McMurry Scholarship Fund, benefiting Troopers "A" Corps members and continuing their commitment to education. Throughout the last two decades, the McMurrys supported the Troopers in a many substantial ways, leaving an indelible mark on the corps and exemplifying their profound impact on Wyoming. Mick's mantra, "I'm just trying to make a better Wyoming," and Susie's enduring spirit of generosity live on through this tuition scholarship.
